PRIVACY NOTICE

This notice explains how Nichol & Nichol Limited processes your information. Where in this notice we refer to ‘we’, ‘our’ or ‘us’ we are referring to Nichol & Nichol Limited and where we refer to ‘you’ or ‘your’ we are referring to our clients, suppliers or any other individual that may be reading this notice. We are registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) with registration number ZA250463.


WHAT INFORMATION WE PROCESS ABOUT YOU

The sort of information we may hold includes:

You may be referred to in many company documents, records and communications produced by our staff during the course of your relationship with us.

WHY WE PROCESS YOUR DATA

As a company pursuing demolition and related activities, we may sometimes need to process your data to comply with health and safety law, to pursue our legitimate business interests, for example for administrative purposes or reporting potential crimes or to fulfil a contractual obligation where you are one of our clients or suppliers. We will never process your data where your own interests override these interests.  

We do not process special categories of information relating to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious and philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, biometric data or sexual orientation. If circumstances change that requires us to do so, we will always obtain your explicit consent to those activities unless this is not required by law or the information is required to protect your health in an emergency.

We monitor Internet use over our private and public Wi-Fi services, which is necessary to allow us to block access to inappropriate and / or offensive material. This includes data such as the URL requested, the time and date of the request and the IP address of the requesting device.

To protect our office premises, the assets it contains and to assist in criminal investigations we record CCTV footage of the building and its grounds continuously. You may appear on this footage if you visit our offices.

In addition, we may record telephone calls to support our operations; to provide evidence for legal proceedings, to protect our employees from verbal abuse and threats and to enhance our performance on our contractual obligations. We will always acquire your verbal consent to record a call before doing so.

If, in the future, we intend to process your personal data for a purpose other than that which it was collected we will provide you with information on that purpose, any other relevant information and will request your consent, where required.


HOW YOUR INFORMATION WILL BE USED

Your information will only be used in a secure manner, for the purposes we have outlined previously, by staff aware of our information security procedures and with training in the General Data Protection Regulations.

Your information is only accessible by authorised staff members and only in circumstances that require us, by law, to do so. It is always stored securely, either in a digital format on encrypted computer systems with appropriate access controls or in locked and secure physical storage facilities to which the Managers control access.


HOW LONG WE WILL KEEP YOUR INFORMATION FOR

We will keep and use your information to enable us to run the business and manage our relationship with you effectively, lawfully and appropriately, during your relationship with us. It will be removed from our systems and destroyed securely when no longer required.


TRANSFERRING YOUR DATA TO 3RD PARTIES

Other than as mentioned below, we will only disclose information about you to third parties if we are legally obliged to do so or if it is required to protect your health in an emergency.

Your information may be transferred outside of the EU or to an international organisation to comply with our legal or contractual requirements. We have in place a data protection policy, data protection procedures and a data protection staff-training program to ensure the security of your data when transferring your information to any 3rd party. The 3rd party must, when based in the EU, comply with the GDPR and when not based in the EU will practice adequate, similar data safeguards such as the EU-US Privacy Shield.


AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING

We do not use your information in automated decision-making (including profiling).


MARKETING

Your information does not appear in any of our marketing databases or our marketing partners’ database. If we decide that we would like to send you marketing material we will request your explicit consent beforehand. You may withdraw your consent at any time.  


YOUR RIGHTS

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have a number of rights with regard to your personal data. You have the right to request from us access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data, the right to restrict processing, object to processing as well as in certain circumstances the right to data portability.

If you have provided consent for the processing of your information then you have the right (in certain circumstances) to withdraw that consent at any time. The withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before the time of withdrawal.

You have the right to lodge a complaint to the Information Commissioners’ Office if you believe that we have not complied with the requirements of the GDPR with regard to your personal data.
